Abstract:
Our article describes, the concept of nominal predicate as it appears in G. G. Neamțu`s perspective, knowing that, in the large frame of his theories, the syntax of Romanian does not dispose of any inventary of copulative verbs, because the two constituents of the so-called nominal predicate function, in every context, as two distinctive syntactic positions due to their semmantical and grammatical features specific to each terms in part (T1 –„the copula verb” and T2 –„the subjective predicative complement”). The author focuses especially upon the fact of proving that a fi is, semmantically, a full-verb, whatever context it occurs in. Therefore, our goal is to examine the aplicability of this model of dissociated analysis by means of a contrastive perspective compared with the present academic perspectives in GALR and GBLR.
