Abstract: | This paper purports to reflect on how a “national identity” is expressed through the proper names that appear in books of Orthodox spirituality, which their translator chooses to translate or not, turning them into discourse markers of an Orthodox tradition, which can be considered “national”. This reflection is based on the analysis of translation into French, from Greek and Romanian, of some anthroponyms and toponyms in three papers of Ortodox spirituality (translated into French). |
