The aim of this paper is to propose an alternative to the traditional analysis of Romanian double subject constructions, which treats both the pronoun and the NP occurring in these structures as subjects. Using the tools offered by the HPSG formalism we analyze only the NP as subject. The pronoun is an agreement marker on the verb and receives case from it. The NP and the pronoun share case, number, person and gender information.
