Abstract: | The historical situation of the Medieval Latin generated a phenomenon that is characteristic of itself: the existence of a pan medieval linguistic nucleon around which a series of particular characteristics have been developed, characteristics that were typical of certain periods and certain environments (chancellery, author), originated in the influence of the vernacular languages and the development of the society. In the documents issued by chancelleries in Wallachia, Moldavia and Transylvania, the author is trying to signal the presence of some lexical and morph-syntactic elements created by the influence of the Romanian language, the notaries’ mother tongue or the one used by other chancelleries and the linguistic setting in the Romanian Principalities. |
